The people pay a lot of attention to the music because it is the most important part of art. Or maybe become familiar with the cities of IRAN. KERMAN is the biggest and Famous city because of it’s importance in music. He said:
A lot of musical instruments have been forgotten during the years because people, specially young people or teenagers have tend to the other music instead of traditional music.
Pounding instruments = (drums)
۱. (Chogh) this instrument is made from stone that one side of it has covered with the skin of sheep. And until ۲ century it was usual among people who had camels in deserts, to fasten it on camel, because it would make sound when thunder has been begun.
۲. Chogharoo: it is located in one of the Bam’s villages . They used the skin of sheep or ewe. And it has ۲ bells and some metal rings, that are hanging on it.
۳. Jarik: it is small & it has skin on both sides and they put some small stones in it. When they want to play it they move it up and down and it makes rhythmic sound.
۴. Dorak: it also makes from skin and it has a rope that it hangs on the player’s neck and they play it with fingers. There is a bell on the body of this instrument and some times the player puts this bell on the upper skip until the bell sound when the skin is trembling. This instrument is belonged to rural people in Sirjan and doesn’t have any counterpart until how. It means it is unique.
۵. Naghareh: it has ۲ kinds in KERMAN. one of them is made of mud or clay that is fashionable in ( Amir Abad ) another kind is made of metal that you can find it in some places like ( Shahre Babak , Shahdad ) they play it before sunrise and at sunset and they also play it in holy places in ( Shahdad ).
۶. Koozak: they play it in (Narmashir, Fahrage …..) it has different sizes (small / big) that they play the big one, with hands. It’s sound is like Indian’s drums.
۷. Sang: they use this in some villages of (Kahnooj & Sabzehvaran) they whittle stones in special shapes and they pound them to each other and make sound.
۸. Choobsar / Choobsahar : it is a wood that the height of it is more than ۲ meters that they hang some bells or extra things on it.
۹. It makes from metal that they play with wood and you can find it in some villages of (Rafsangan: like Raviz ) that they use it in religious cermonies.
۱۰. Khalkhal: it includes a chain that some bells hanging on it and women fasten it around their wrist of their feet. In happy cermonies or celebrations .and they make sound when they move their legs. It finds. Among rural people.
